That\u2019s it. Along with a little sprinkle of paprika that extra pop of flavor.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Deviled eggs win as a healthy snacks or appetizer. They\u2019re easy to make, only have a handful of ingredients and most people love them.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ve loved them for years, but it wasn\u2019t until recently that I asked the question that had long been rolling around in my brain \u2013 \u201cwhy are deviled eggs called that?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Ah, makes sense. And now you can rest assured that there\u2019s nothing truly sinister about deviled eggs!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>large eggs (hard-boiled, cooled &amp; halved)<\/p>\n<p>6 slices bacon (cooked crisp &amp; crumbled)<\/p>\n<p>2 teaspoons fresh chives<\/p>\n<p>2 teaspoons white vinegar<\/p>\n<p>2 tablespoons finely shredded mild cheddar cheese<\/p>\n<p>1\u20444 cup sour cream or 1\u20444 cup buttermilk<\/p>\n<p>paprika<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Instructions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Transfer egg yolks from halves to mixing bowl &amp; combine with remaining ingredients.<\/p>\n<p>Add the sour cream or buttermilk last &amp; use more as needed to reach desired smoothness.<\/p>\n<p>Spoon yolk mixture into halves.
